Television Production House
In conjunction with GTV, Goolarri Media Enterprises also operates a film and video production house to supply product for our local broadcast along with sales to national broadcasters such as ABC and SBS
In 1999 the Production House made its first documentary for SBS TV called “Peeping thru the louvres”. Goolarri has also produced Broome’s very first TV series “The Mary G show’ for SBS. With the success of the first series, Goolarri was commissioned to undertake the second series which went to air in 2003. The cheeky character of Mary G promotes the culture of Broome and the Kimberley as well as discussing important issues such as reconciliation.
Goolarri Media also produced a 26 minute documentary about a father and daughter making music together called “Me and You” for SBS as part of the National Indigenous Documentary Fund.
