Broome Aboriginal Media Association Committee
The Broome Aboriginal Media Association (BAMA) was launched in 1991 and is a fully owned Indigenous corporation under the Commonwealth Councils (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act of 2006. BAMA is a not for profit organisation with PBI tax status. BAMA has a clear organisational structure that separates policies from operations.
Goolarri Media Enterprises is a 100% owned holding company of the Broome Aboriginal Media Association and through a memorandum of understanding Goolarri represents and manages the operations of BAMA.
BAMA is responsible for policy decisions and long term planning of the operations while Goolarri Media strategically implements the corporation plans and manages operations on a daily basis.
